Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) conducted its 7th Annual Penang Roadshow to India 2024 for four days. It began in all 4 cities which was Mumbai on 15th Jan, and followed by New Delhi on 17th Jan, Chennai on 19th Jan and Kochi on 22nd Jan to predominantly connect Penang and Malaysian sellers to connect with qualified Indian buyers from different industry segments including business events, team building events, leisure travel, weddings and filming.
Early this year’s show was carried out in person as PCEB brought along 14 exhibitors and met almost 200 potential buyers and trade visitors from each city.
Penang Night
Penang Night was organized in the evenings of each of the 4 cities in January 2021, where Virtual B2B was conducted during the day.
The idea of Penang Night was to Connect and Engage with selected partners of PCEB. product presentation and dinner. Strict SOP norms due to the pandemic condition were followed for invitations and for organising the event and dinner thereafter.
- PCEB is the first NTO to conduct a travel business event physical gathering in India for the year 2021, after a gap of 8 – 9 months. This fact was appreciated by all the dinner attendees and also covered widely in the press/media
- Penang Roadshow to India 2021 media coverage value is worth RM866,502 in over 44 local, regional newspapers and travel journals across India
- 94 selected partners across 4 cities attended the dinner
- Along with the glimpses of Penang, the assurance/support via the video message from the dignitaries set the positive mood for the attendees. The partners pledged their support to promote Penang once the borders reopen.
